NEXT STOP: PORT ARTHUR
Texas natives Tim Young and Jason Catchings are happy the community of Port Arthur, Texas pulled out all the stops last August during the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup. But they’re even happier the Cup is returning to the same site this week, giving them a chance to defend their win in the Lone Star State, as this year’s Port Arthur event marks the second stop on the 2008 tournament circuit.

The Redfish Cup comes back to the Pleasure Island Marina Boardwalk May 30 through June 1. The decision to return to Port Arthur was an easy one for Redfish Cup officials: Founded on the western bank of Sabine Lake, Port Arthur boasts a rich history, prime redfish fisheries and big Texas smiles.

Day Two

DECISIONS AT DAWN
PORT ARTHUR, Texas – After passing the seawall protecting Pleasure Island Marina during Day Two's launch of the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup, anglers dropped the throttle and headed toward the rising sun. For most, the decision had already been made concerning how each would spend their day.

A PARTY ON THE ROCKS
PORT ARTHUR, Texas—As the sun rose behind the glistening metal framework of an offshore oil platform, the top five teams fishing in Sunday's Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup final in Port Arthur pushed their boats away from the dock and looked towards the south. Twelve miles away, four out of five final teams would soon land at their favorite spot on the same four-mile stretch of jetties which have produced the heaviest redfish throughout the tournament.

Day Three

ALL EYES ON THE JETTIES
Andrew Bostick and Mark Sepe can only pose with day-winning redfish a few different ways.

So the Florida anglers decided to strike a different pose for their third-straight win on Sunday, as the 2007 Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup champions wrapped up their wire-to-wire win in Punta Gorda with two fish weighing 13.15 pounds.

WINNING EMOTION
PORT ARTHUR, Texas — During the final weigh-in of the Oh Boy Oberto Redfish Cup, Team Under Armour's Paul Jueckstock and Manny Perez reached to place their two winning redfish on the scales — but emotion had paralyzed the two anglers.
