Welcome to your new nation . . . the Redfish Nation, a group that is dedicated to redfish enthusiasts from coast to coast and beyond. We are proud to have you with us in our quest to provide not only the best redfish tournament organization, but also the very best information, education and conservation forum for our sport. We really began in June of 2003, with the inaugural Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup event in Port Aransas, Texas. This was our first of four televised events in 2003, and we were off and running with providing the information and education people like you and I are hungry for. Millions of people watched as the best inshore anglers in the world began teaching all of us this very specialized sport. We have now completed the second and third seasons of the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup which, as anticipated, have proven to take the all the focus in the redfishing world while becoming recognized as the elite tournament trail.

In addition to the televised series, which has grown to seven events for the 2006 season, there is also the all new Redfish Nation Series, six two-day redfish tournaments (three in the Mercury Eastern Division and three in the Triton Western Division) culminating with the Redfish Nation Series Championship.

As a part of your membership, you will be able to learn more about the styles and techniques used by the pros, as you will be receiving the Redfish Nation Magazine quarterly throughout the year. We will be providing in-depth coverage on how the pros stay successful and how you can too. From tackle, gear, and electronics to what style of boat is best for an area, it will all be in there. We'll also have behind the scenes coverage from all the tournaments run by the Nation. Most importantly we are dedicated to the conservation of our resource. We are just scratching the surface in partnering with the FishAmerica Foundation, a group dedicated to just that, conservation through hands-on projects at the local level.

Our members drive all of these Redfish Nation initiatives. We must hear from you in order to run the best tournaments, provide the most informative magazine, and succeed in conserving a resource that is very dear to us all.
